Reddix Rules Announces Start of Third Creating a Millionaire Competition

Funding, Guidance Provided for Minority Women Small Businesses in the United States

Norfolk, VA – May 18, 2022 – The Reddix Rules Fund announced the start of its third year of the Creating a Millionaire competition. The competition features ten women of color vying for funding while receiving mentoring and coaching to develop their business acumen. Reddix Rules will provide assistance to the competitors in the areas of entrepreneurship training, mental wellness coaching, and mentorship. The 2022 Reddix Rules Cohort will be announced Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach, VA.

The Reddix Rules Fund was conceived in response to businesses struggling in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The fund is the brainchild of Dr. Angela D. Reddix, founder, and CEO of ARDX®, global healthcare and IT consulting conglomerate. Dr. Reddix felt compelled to partner with key stakeholders and provide opportunities to help minority women business owners weather the current business climate and grow. Dr. Reddix envisioned a “Shark Tank” style competition that would provide funding and tools for sustainability.

“I am thrilled to continue this tradition of building bridges to economic empowerment for women of color businesses owners. The Reddix Rules Fund endeavors to not only create successful business owners but create employers,” said Dr. Reddix. “The formula to success begins with enhancing operational excellence, building mental resilience, and cultivating strong mentorship relationships.”

“We are looking forward to watching this cohort flex their entrepreneurial and creative muscles throughout the competition,” said Frank Castellanos, Bank of America President of Hampton Roads. “The investment we made in this program is representative of our commitment to supporting business owners from diverse backgrounds in Hampton Roads and across the nation.”

The Reddix Rules program was initially launched in the midst of COVID-19 to assist black-owned businesses that were brutally impacted by the global health crisis. Reddix Rules will transform communities of poverty into communities of prosperity by pushing sustainable businesses to expand the workforce and create jobs.
